9800 no virtual keyboard

hav a 9800 which i recently replaced the ribbon

screen is good now, the prob is while the screen is slid down in messenger r any application the keyboard icon is missing or greyed out, press menu and there is no show keyboard option and also the phone cant go in ladscape mode

need help,

ant fix?

did you use an official rim ribbon?
or just an ebay or amazon cheapy?

I am going through exactly what you are going through. My blackberry torch key pad suddenly stopped working and even the torch screen stopped working also. But, sometimes it comes back on. Each time i put the phone in a bowl of uncooked rice the torch screen works after 30mins but the keypad has not been working for almost a month now. Please help me

Also each time i delete an application from my phone the torch screen also stop typing and i dont get to see the torch screen icon. This is frustrating!!!! I need urgent help please.
