Trying to make animated theme

hey all i been aroud this theme stuff for a while , but havent started to make 1 myself.. i see these animated things and read the bbnews story on how to but something still dont fit.. when i crop theanimated image it still loads wayyyyy bigger than i saved the svg file as.. i edited the commands and everything but still no luck can any 1 help me with this i want to start but i dont want to come into the world of themeing like the avg joe.. i wanna start off with a bang.. and hey Crackberry could be the place i dwell.. so far i have asked in other places and no 1 has had a solid answer for me. please help me with this would greatly appreciate that
