This is to unlock all vendor themes like att, tmo, verizon, sprint, vodafone, rogers, all themes that are locked because you have a certain provider and are only able to see limited themes.

So I edited the .alx file correctly [and saved the original as a backup incase haha] but nothing has asked me to upgrade? So I'm confused as to what the next step is? I edited the file, opened my desktop manager and connected and nothing new happened.. I reset the phone and nada..

ideas? what am I missing?

I want to unlock the themes, and I did as you all suggested....however, when I go to save the modified document I keep getting the message that this file is protected...am I doing something wrong?

thanks all for great posts. I was able to follow the steps and unlock all above mentioned themes, although after looking through them, I've found that I still like my BB Zen theme the best , so I am deleting the edited file and pasting the one I backed up.

An ADVICE FROM THE PROS...I see in my Java Folder in my PC that I have
net_rim_theme_bbdimension_zen_320X240_b.cod
and this file is about 1.6MB.
My question is that I do not use this theme can I delete this or remove it to a different location? This will free up space for me to install OTA theme available from you guys.
Thanks in advance!

I DID IT!!
GO ME!

Took me awhile to figure out how to get it to open with wordpad since it didn't give me that option, I had to go through the property option.

I did it though, and I had to open it for my mom too. =)

I use an unlocked AT&T BB 8300 curve. I am using other themes the only problem is when I boot up my phone it starts with AT &T logo. Can this logo be changed to something else like a welcome note etc.

Kindly guide

No, that splash screen can't be changed.
