    5 year warranty is good, but these are relatively slow compared to cheaper MX100's.

    I'm sure the Samsung Evo pro with 10 year warranty will be around this or better on BF.

    Price point, warranty and longevity along with reliability are major factors to purchase the Intel drives. Usually those terms don't go with SSD's. The 480gb drive is fast maybe 3.3 seconds compared to 3.6 seconds to d a task is not fast enough for some but they are very good SSD's. Overpriced at MSRP but on sale I doubt you would find a more robust full featured ssd. The Samsung Pro's are not at the same price point right now but as you mentioned, if they go on sale I would even grab one to try. Have always heard good things about the Samsung Pro.
