is anyone else experiencing lag when typing sms msgs and navigating thru their inbox? for some reason its only when i'm typing sms msgs....email is decent and bbm has zero lag when typing.

I Experinced it initially when I first got my 9670. What I found out to be the culprit on mine was the Universal Search. By Default it allows Searching for EVERYTHING. To change this I went to Options>Device>Search And unchecked everything except contacts and Options. Problem solved on my lag. I cant say if a battery pull is needed after that but I tend to make alot of changes at first then do battery pulls just to make sure.
