Just a few thoughts on 6.0.0.286...
Granted I just got the Style yesterday, and I saw no updates from people installing this OS, I figured I would take the plunge and install it and update you all.

Install
I used Shrink-A-OS to shrink the Java folder before installing. The OS went from roughly 140mb to around 104mb. The shrink went just fine and SOS launched the loader perfectly. The installation of the OS went as well as could be expected. I ran into no problems at all, which was very nice considering I was holding my breath
. The initial bootup before reinstalling personal data, took >10, however for some reason I had to skip through the Setup Wizard again. Which I have not had to do with other hybrids and such. Oh well, that really is not a big deal.
*caption - I have other programs installed - so the memory after install isn't exactly accurate.*

Initial Thoughts
Over all little has changed from the previous stock OS. However, that which has changed, I think seriously warrants the update.
First, the Browser -
Much like many of you, I was disappointed in the scrolling while being zoomed into a full, non-mobile, webpage. That has seemed to be fixed in this update. I have tested this on Fox News and Ebay. Scrolling is much smoother and pictures and text seem to have rendered better. Loading over my slow-ish internet via wifi does seems to be quicker. In my tests it loads a little bit of information initially then loads the rest of the page all at once. This being different from loading little bits of information at a time. With all of that being said, the pages still load much faster on my iTouch but this update definitely seems to have improved the browser.
Secondly, Other Random Things -
Other than the Browser's apparent update, there are really only a few other things that I have noticed. When using the All, Media, Frequent, Downloads and Favorites Tray's, when scrolling through the top row of icons if you scroll all the way to one side, then continue it scrolls to the next Tray respectively and visa versa. I personally am not a fan of this feature because I am not always wanting to have to be accurate in scrolling side to side. But, with this update, I have to be accurate or else I will scroll to someplace I do not want to be. Oh well, I guess I will just have to be more mindful of my scrolling.
RIM seems to have also changed the scrolling down action when viewing the Tray's. You no longer need to hit the BB Button and say Open Tray to bring up the full Tray. You can just scroll down to the bottom icon level and then continue to scroll down and it will open that Tray for you. That feature is very nice in my opinion. I hated having to click the BB Button just to open the Tray.
Also worth noting, when I tried to hide one of my three gmail email folders it hid all three folders. This was pretty annoying - but I am used to using the Messages folder anyways so I did not give it much thought. With this update to .286, this issue has been fixed and you can now hide each of them separately to your liking.
Thirdly, the Notification Tray
When I was using this in the Stock OS, it seemed to lag when being opened. This issue has seemed to be fixed with this update. It now opens quickly and consistently. It is nice to have that working well in my opinion.

Well that is what I see as being different after using the update for the morning. I will continue to look through the phone and see if I can spot anything different. I will give the battery a test tonight if I remember and see if I can get a drain per hour rate for you all. If you have any questions feel free to post it here, or shoot me an email at:

And I will try and get to you as quickly as possible.
Thanks,

I will say, that the text message issue is still there. When opening the text message thread after a new message arrives it doesn't scroll all the way down for you. However, a simple scroll up appears to bring the latest message up.

I upgraded this morning and haven't had any problems either. I noticed the same things RCNathan did. Overall this seems to be a very nice and needed update. Glad I did it.

Tested the battery last night. Tested from 12:30AM to 8:30AM, 3 emails came in and BerryWeather updated every 30 minutes and my drain was right at 1% an hour. went from 95% battery at 12:30AM to 87% at 8:30AM. Not to shabby.
