Hangs a lot

Hello,
I have been using the Style 9670 CDMA for about 3 months and have been facing problems since 20 days. The phone hangs a lot and I see a stupid Black clock with a rotating face. Ultimately a message comes saying some unresponsive program and I have to switch off and on - Happens too often. Any solutions ? Thanks guys !!

What carrier are you on? Sprint has the latest OS at 6.0.0.706 (3049) and you can download it at http://shop2.sprint.com/en/software_...rry_9670.shtml

Thanks a bunch for trying to help me out. I reside in India and am with Reliance CDMA service provider here. In case I download the Sprint version will it run ? I see that I am not alone in having this problem with 9670.

Yes, it will work but you have to delete the vendor files. Read this first to see how:

Thanks a bunch Kerri. Have successfully upgraded. Initially it did not detect the new version. But after following the steps outlined by you things went without a hitch. Lets see if the problem of freezing still persists. Thanks again ! Luv You !!

Sounds like an app issue to me also. But if you cannot find the app then try doing a factory reset through DM.

Hello ,
After upgrading the software as Kerry advised ( Grateful to him ) , the problem reduced considerably to the extent that the freezing happened once in 3-4 days. Was a great relief. But of late, freezing is more often and has now reached to 2 times a day !! Is it a cache memory problem ?
