If "flashing" means installing the OS DM has the tools to install the OS.

I need to get sprint off my BB, then I can put who I want(Boost Mobile) on it. Getting the old carrier off is my problem. I know the software from Sprint is like hardwired on the hard drive, but need to get everything else off so I can replace it.

So it is a sprint phone and you need to get it unlocked? If so look for the unlocking threads on here.

When you have a sim card it is relatively easy to unlock a cell But, the style 9670 has to be flashed, which I cannot find software to help with. Allo help is appreciated and thank you for yours.

When you're moving a CDMA device from carrier to carrier, the "serial number" (ESN, IMEI) must be in the carriers system. Most don't mind adding it, with VZW and Sprint being strong against manually adding other devices. The BB software is the same across all carriers, as long as you remove the vendor.xml file. The rest comes down as the service books.

I would just take your phone down to the carriers store, and have them add it. They usually have the directions to enter the carrier information on different devices using the phone service menus.

Thank you for the information. I did ask Sprint and Boost about swicthing BB and both of them saids no help, although I know better. There is a set of different numbers at Howard fourums that should assist me. Thank everyone for the help.

I would love to flash my sprint bb style to boost. If I go somewhere like yakety yak, can they flash it? Is it even possible to flash a sprint phone to boost?

There are 2 ways I know of to flash a Sprint BB Style to Boost. One, there is a site called howardforums that explains one way. The other way is a site called flashtotalk and hopefully they have a dealer close to you. I've never heard of yaketyyak but I will see about them today.
