its cdma so it wont have the battery life of the gsm 9700. in fact, to get the battery life of a 9700 on a cdma phone you need a 2600 m. extended battery. CDMA just uses alot more power than gsm.....there are posts all over this place on it.
It looks like th battery is going to be the same as the Bold (1500 mah) which is a good thing. Unfortunately, the above posters are correct, the battery for a CDMA device isn't going to be as good as a GSM device. But the battery should be better than the other BBs on Sprint.

Battery life is good....used it a lot yesterday (calls, texts, email, snyc, and a little web) and at the end of the day I still had 35% battery life.
My wife had to charge her EVO mid day
Agreed yesterday phone went off charger around 11 AM with an hour of heavy usage and the rest of the day with light/moderate usage and by 11 PM I was only down to 65%.
Fake 9650? Can you explain what you mean by that?I'm holding it in my hand, and it seams pretty real to me.
Some are very protective of the Bold brand and were not happy to have the refresh Tour branded as Bold, I cannot wait for sprint to send my good enough for me Bold.

"eye roll" at those people.
Maybe the wouldn't care so much if my battery cover were wrapped in leather. Then it'd be a real Bold.
Its too early for me to make a conclusion... butttttt the battery seems pretty bad for me... I didn't surf at all, no music. Just about 50 emails and some BBM and about an hour of talk time. From 11 AM to 11 PM it was down to 5%....
That's pretty damn good...in 2010 with all phone do and the constant pinging of data....I'd day if you can get from The time you wake up to the time you go to bed on a single charge...that's damn good...
People have to get over the fact phone batteries dont last 2-3 days on single charges anymore....Phones/Smartphone in particular have whole lot more going on than you Grandma RAZR....
The phone was released less than a week ago. Give it a few battery charge cycles to really judge the battery. I've been relatively happy with it in strong signal areas. Try an Android device, better yet a new Windows phone if you want to look for chargers all day !!
Well, I've had the Style for about a week now and so far I'm not impressed with the battery life. Unplugging the phone around 8am it only lasts until about 5pm before I start getting the red battery indicator. During that time I sent 5 texts and spoke on the phone a total of 22 minutes. I don't even have facebook, email, twitter, or anything else set up on the phone. I do have Loopt running in the background so maybe that's what's causing the drain.
Yesterday around 8am I unplugged the phone, and literally did not even open it up all day. When I checked it at 11pm it had shut itself down due to a drained battery. Not a outgoing or incoming text or call all day.

Anybody else have similar issues?

I'll be the first one to say, the battery on this is horrible. However, this is very abnormal behavior. Perhaps your battery is bad.
