    Default Calendar issues

My husband travels for work and we use Google Calendar for his events which had been going to his phone without a problem.

I gave him his Style at Thanksgiving and at that time had put Google Sync on it. His Google Calendar had been set with different calendars so I could separate the events for easier identification. The regular Calendar that comes pre-installed on the phone will sync to calendar events in gmail created using your primary "gmail" address, but I found that if you have events created on another calendar within that same Google account, they won't display or sync to the phone.

So I installed Google Sync and selected it to sync all the individual calendars EXCEPT his primary one. When the primary one (his gmail addy) is selected it would duplicate all the events in the google calendar and then back to the calendar on his phone. Headache. It was working fine till Christmas. At Christmas there was an app issue so I uninstalled Google Sync which allowed the phone to function without a problem.

I then went back through his Google Calendar and changed ALL the events to be listed as created by his gmail email addy. I told him to do a battery pull and and hopefully it should resend all the new events and scheduling to his phone. It didn't.

He's currently half way across the country from me and has zero tech skills. I tried to recreate all the situations on my own phone with my google calendar and have no problem getting the updates on my phone. So what am I missing?

Is there a setting in the Calendar that came on the phone which would be causing the events to not show or update which wouldn't be corrected with a battery pull?

    Ideas?

    Two questions...

On his BB, does he have the Calendar application set to show ALL calendars?

Has he checked the default services to make sure the correct account is the default for the calendar?

When I first set up wireless sync it changed my default and I had to change it back. It will only sync to the one default calendar on the blackberry.

Yes the calendar app is set to display all calendars. Well - let me clarify that - it was when he left here on January 7th. Since he does nothing on his phone other than calls, text, email, check his calendar, twitter, facebook, review Word and pdf docs, browse the net and blog he never changes settings, backgrounds or goes into preferences I would assume it's still set to "all."

He only has the one account so the phone doesn't have much choice than to have his gmail be the default. I know - "What?! Who only has one account in 2011?" He does.

I'll have him check them just the same to make sure everything is still set correctly.

    Thanks!!

Although I cannot add anything useful, I can add that I have only 1 calendar as well. After all I am only 1 person.

LOL I meant he only had one email address. He has one Google Calendar for that email address, but within that calendar he has several different individual topic calendars.

I'm not sure it's related, but on my Style I discovered today that I'm not able to add appointments to my "default" calendar; only to the other calendars. I have 4 different Google calendars all syncing fine with the BB's calendar, but the 5th one - the "default" one - won't sync and I can't add new appointments or events. On my 8900 everything is fine, BTW.

Well I got my gmail Calendar appointments to finally sync. All it took was a total device wipe, and deleting all email accounts in my BIS account, then reentering the accounts one by one.

My google calendar seems to double certain events after syncing. I'm still trying to figure out why...
