1 week with the style and so far - FAIL

I was using the 8530 on virgin mobile for a while and it was a work horse. I never had a single issue with it. It was time for a new blackberry on a no contract. The only other blackberry was the Style on Boost Mobile. I think I made a horrible mistake.

This phone has to be the most frustrating blackberry i have ever used.

The style lags and freezes way to much. Phones lag and freeze from time to time but this is unacceptable. I cant download an app and read a text message at the same time without this phone being on the verge of a heart attack. Even something as simple as reading new emails, there is an abnormal delay. At first i thought it was just a broken phone, so I returned it for a replacement. The replacement still has the same issues. Then I started reading other people are having freezing problems and such.

It seems they rushed this phone either form the hardware or software perspective.
Either way this phone is a sub standard blackberry that im stuck with. I love the design but that only goes so far.

I hope they do some sort of tweak to the OS so it runs smoother.

I would download OS5 in a second if they had it for this phone, at-least its stable.

Sorry to hear about your problems. Mine has been great, but then I only use it for e-mails and as a phone. Looking forward to the BB10 for the complete experience.

Glad to see you found the source of your problem. I've been running the Style for the last year and it has been quite a solid BlackBerry from the get-go. It looks a little rough, being uncased and un-skinned, but has performed as expected for my daughter and me, especially since the last OS update.

Remember that a service area can greatly affect performance. I live in an area where service for Sprint sucks, so I also get crappy performance out of my Style when I'm not traveling.

if you transfered apps from your computer back up of your old phone.that will make your phone buggy. its best to go to app world and re download all your favorite apps
