Default wifi connection problems

I have done a search for my problem and I cant find a salution. I have a storm2 with the lasest device OS version 5.0.0.1015 Bundle Platform 4.2.0.442. I am trying to connect to my home wifi network, which is the Siemens SE587 WLAN dsl. This router is using WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK security. My phone will have signal but will not connect to the network. after trying reboots, deleting the network and reinstalling does not work I reboot the router and then the phone will connect. It will not stay connected though if for any reason I loose signal it will not connect again until I reboot the router. I have connected to other wifi networks without a problem.

I would like some help with this problem it seems that I may have some setting wrong in my router but I am not sure which one is wrong.

Not really a good answer to your problem, but I've found the Storm's WiFi capabilities to be a bit inadequate. The radio doesn't carry very far. Actually, for me - and this is anecdotal, so take it for what you will - earlier OS versions offered better WiFi reliability and range than the more recent releases.

I had this problem for a while myself. I wiped the network from the phone and rebooted. Then I reset the security on the router. I used a pre-shared key and entered it into the router. I no longer have any issues. Let me know if this helps. Also hardware on these devices fluctuate greatly, so some may have excellent wifi coverage like my current phone, but I've has several S2's that were a nightmare with wifi coverage.

My WIFI works like a champ. I guess the connection can pass through the plastic toylike screen easier than the highly superior glass screen of the futuristic Storm 2.

i agree, unless the glass is leaded, then the lead might insulate the signal and help it get to over 9000

I forgot all about the lead. That changes the entire dynamic of the reception. The lead will actually cause the WIFI signal to be refracted and thereby changes the signal into gamma rays similar to those that transformed mild mannered David Banner into the Incredible Hulk. Not to be confused with the gamma radiation that turned Peter Parker into Spiderman.
