OMG! Did i time-warp bake to kindergarten? The fact is simple, different strokes for different folks. People have a tendency for whatever reason to feel the need to defend their phones and their buying decisions. I care about what phone you use about as much as i care what color underwear you wear. Seriously guys lets grow up and stick to helping each other. If you don't have good answers or help there is really no reason to reply to threads.

Bearkat reminds me of a person that owns a $50K plus car and lives in a shack ... loves to cruise around and show off his car because he has nothing better in life. Honestly man its a phone, if the fact that not everyone in the world wants the phone that you have is that big a deal, you should probably save up some cash and go see a psychiatrist. Maybe you should go and get a part time job, leave these forums, and you can start getting that money! You will make everybody here happy

I played with the Droid at the VZW store, and I must say it is an impressive device. The screen is beautiful, and the internet browsing experience blows BB out of the water.
With that being said, I personally prefer the form factor of the Storm 2. I also happen to be one of those who like the BB OS. Could it be better? Sure it could. Could the Droid be improved? Absolutely.
The point is, both devices are capable devices. They both appeal to different people, but ultimately, people will buy what they like. And there's nothing wrong with Brand Loyalty either. My dad buys only Sony TVs, because he likes the brand. I only drive Chevrolet trucks, because I like Chevy. Are Samsung TVs or Ford trucks inferior products? No, not really. Sony, Chevy, and Blackberry are just personal preferences.
But when someone purposely comes to the S2 thread to flame people who chose to buy the S2 instead of the Droid. Honestly, these people are giving other Droid owners a bad name. That may sound silly, but its true. I don't go trolling the Droid forums to cause havoc. When it gets to the point that we can't enjoy the forums because of these trolls, the thread needs to be closed and the trolls banned. Period.
The Crackberry mods will realize this when the people who come here for help and socializing slowly all leave. These forums are here for a purpose that they are no longer meeting, and the forums are starting to get a bad name.

Bearkat38 and Pimpkat70 are the same person but they let that one go. |

Bearkat38 and Pimpkat70 are the same person but they let that one go. | Well, when people stop coming here, and some already have, maybe they will realize the problems. All the mods here seem to be great people, as much as I know of them through a website, but their moderation is a joke. Its inconsistent and so does little to nothing constructive for this site. BearKat and others like him may not explicitly violate the very letter of the rules, but its obvious they are making the forums a hostile place to be. The color and spirit of the rules should be taken into consideration, not just the actual words.
I think I may take a break from this place for awhile myself. I find it harder and harder to enjoy myself or find answers to honest questions. Especially everytime someone posts a question, their only responses are "Storm sucks..you should buy a Droid." That does nothing to help anyone and discourages new users from coming back.
I think I'll go check out some of the other more useful forums for a while. Thank you to all the members here who do work hard to help others. I've tried my best to contribute to the site as well.

I read a boatload of threads in this very forum with one problem after another with their Storm 2 as well as the disaster that was Storm 1, many unhappy campers.....until someone compliments another device, then it's a free for all. You attack these members personally, now resort to offending the moderation staff? What ever happened to friendly debate or difference of opinion? I personally enjoy that this forum is not overmoderated and that there is a lot more freedom of discussion than many other forums I visit.
You look at whats going on out there with our economy, job losses particularly around the holiday season, war, and this is what you get emotions up about? People need to take a look at their priorities in life

It would be nice to see more help and kindness in the best BlackBerry forums we have available to us...not only during the holiday season, but all the time.

Three strikes and you ARE OUT! I'm not going to review this thread for moderation again, it has MORE than run it's course. The thread will be closed. Additionally let me remind everyone, you can debate the phones, the manufacturers, the carriers, but you must NOT harrass each other.
This is from our Rules & Guidlines section.... Play Nice, Be Helpful, and have Respect! This means keep the language clean, keep your posts polite, and don’t get into arguments over dumb things. If somebody responds to a thread you posted in poor fashion, ignore it, and the moderation team will quickly clean it up (you can always message or email a moderator at any time if you observe anything that is in poor taste/against the rules). Think back to what your parentals and teachers used to lecture - if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. Always remember that we are all unique and at different levels here - some of us are experienced BlackBerry users and forum junkies, while others are just starting out. If you’re on the experienced side, have patience for those just joining in on the fun and be helpful. With a little patience and a little help they won’t be newbies for long. Also remember that it is our differences that keeps this place interesting. If everyone was from the same place and at the same experience level it would be boring. This is a worldwide community united by a common interest - our love, or addiction as some would call it, for the BlackBerry!
