The Droid is nice regardless of how you look at it, crappy battery life and all. I just prefer the Blackberry. My S2 has been a nice upgrade from my Curve 8330 and after owning the S2 for one week I'm still impressed with everything it can do. Now, I agree with most of you, Android running on a Blackberry would be nice to see. How about it RIM???

Yeah, I liked the multitouch on the Eris. It felt good in my hand. The Eris is a very nice phone I would consider. However, being that I think the BB interface is more practical, and as smooth as it needs to be, I prefer to try the Storm 2. However, I would like to get my wife the Eris just so i could dig deeper into it. | Funny that is what I did, I let my wife use my early upgrade for a Eris, so far she loves it. It is way better than the Moto imo. Build quality, touchscreen, Sense UI even with older droid software is much nicer.
But for me the BB is what I will get next hands down. But with the new OS my S1 works great so not in a big rush for a S2 yet, will wait till they go down in price and work out all the early release issues.

Now the pickings were slim but the G1 seemed like it would be really functional and fun. I did not last 24 hrs. There's all this stuff to do sh*t, thatI don't need to do, but the stuff I need to do couldn't be done seemlessly. From my 1st BB (pearl 8130) to my S2, it was just plain old simple. And I don't mean that in any way except, positive. My phone is really important to me and I don't care about what we did before we had them. I don't go to around the corner without my phone, so it needs to work for me. I'm really new around here but, it seems you can't even have an opinion about a darn cell phone, it's like criticizing someone's kid's athletic ability. I LUV my S2. It's the ****. | I'm definitely one of those "younger people," I love tinkering about with new things, mostly electronics and cars, but I quickly adapted from my Storm 1 to the Droid and I love it. I'm one of those people that get bored of having the same thing for 2 weeks and having done everything you can do on the phone, but for me the Android software is infinate in customization, apps, and web browsing and it never gets old. I remember the frustration with the storm browser not loading and the droid has fixed that.
BTW your cell phone to kid's athletic ability is great, parents get so worked up over that and it's so funny.

Ill say the same thing I had before in another thread......All I see is someone trying to defend their purchase and trying to bring down other people and belittle them for making a choice to leave said phone for legit reasons when the person complaining doesn't have the sense to leave it if it bothers them that much. If said person is happy with their phone then who are you to judge others for their purchases and decisions and you are in the wrong place to try to do this. You would do well to keep your droid fanboy comments to yourself bearkat (yes I have seen a lot of your posts and thats what reeks out of every one of them), you just invite more people to flame you everywhere you go. Before you scream fanboy to me this S2 is my first experience with Blackberry and everything I speak from is from what I have experienced soo far, I don't buy into hyping something up or thinking that one company is infaliable (heck this post has nothing to even do with the S2 itself but your actions against fellow CB members). The part that rubs me wrong is you try to pass judgement on people in here/flame them/insult them for pointing out faults in the phone you chose to buy/stay with and that they decided to leave for another phone. Let it go and if you have nothing constructive/mature to say around here then don't bother saying posting it and stick to your own phones forum. Im really getting tired of the flame wars that have arisen since the launch of both phones, this place feels like it's lost its helpful/community atmosphere because of the bickering.

| Had to LOL at this. I haven't heard "fly" since the 90's. But the interesting thing is the iPhone has nabbed Gen-Y - the Boomers demographic. I think future Android phones will get there but Moto is not known for clean simple designs. Sometimes less is more and Apple and RIM get that.

The only thing that a Storm 2 does better than a Droid is well... Nothing.

Well, from a different perspective that might help folks out who do like the Droid...there are some other reasons to not like it and return to your BB. I've been carrying a BB for over 10 years but since I retired and started living in the Google Cloud and not on the Exchange server w/BES I've realized that Gmail, Google contacts and Google calendar all don't necessarily work well with a BB. They work, but we all know the limitations. The best we can do for now is the native Gmail mobile app and Google Sync for calendar and contacts (don't get me started on RIM's POS the Enhanced Gmail Plugin) :-)
I bought the Droid...loved it...loved Android OS 2.0, and it worked flawlessly with everything Google...absolutely everything! But when it came to synching media (simple iPhoto pictures and iTunes music with my Mac...big disappointment. I know Mac Desktop isn't perfect and will never be what it is with Windows, but at least it works with music and pictures.
Took the Droid back and talked with the Verizon service manager, who said "It works fine for us with Windows...has to be a Mac problem. I handed him back the phone and said..."Here's your phone...and your sign!"

Even if it WERE true, some people simply prefer the way the Storm does things.
