Default VCast/Rhapsody Problem

I just upgraded to the Storm 2 from Storm 1 a couple of days ago. On the S1 I had no problem buying and downloading songs from VCast Rhapsody on my phone. But on the Storm 2 every time I try to buy a song, it starts to download, gets to about 95% complete and then says "license acquisition failed", and it asks if I want to try again. But it never completes. Any ideas what is going on? Why would it work flawlessly on S1 and start this after switching to S2. Is there a setting or something I am forgetting? Pin # change? I can't find anywhere to tell it I have a new phone. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Nobody knows anything about VCast Music with Rhapsody? This is frustrating as heck. I've deleted and reinstalled, battery pull, you name it. Every single time it says "license acquisition failed". I've contacted Verizon but no response from them at all.

Good luck with that. I've been working an issue for over a week with Verizon myself on VCAST Videos.

I'm thinking all these problems with VCAst has to be OS related on the new S2. But it's a Verizon app on a newly released phone. You would think there would be no bugs with it. It's not like it's a 3rd party app.

Great. I haven't called them yet, although I did get an email from them after contacting them and their advice was to make sure I have the software installed. Well duh!! Please, if you do get an answer, post it here. It's very frustrating and may save me a phone call.

Thanks!!

Good luck, I gave up today on getting the VCast issue figured out after over 9 days of messing around with it & VZW.

Ok Verizon did not get back to me but i was able to get it to work on my Storm 2. No guarantees but this is what I did. Uninstall reinstall Rhapsody on my PC. Format media card on the S2, format device memory on the S2. Remember to back up your information as you will loose everything when you format.
Next open Rhapsody on your PC and deauthorize your device. Close Rhapsody. Open Rhapsody again and connect you device will give you a prompt that your device needs to be formatted to use the service. A help window will open, scroll down to the instructions for using the service on a BB. Follow the instructions to format and authorize your device.
I have no idea if this will work for you but it worked for me and I have been using the service for two days without any issues. Good Luck!

Well thanks for posting that but since I'm a bit of a chicken I'm a bit afraid to do all that formatting. I'll either wait for Verizon to do something or just won't use it. And to the poster right below yours, yes, Verizon customer service is non-existent.

It looks like the problem is related directly to something with the SD card management. It seems that all music on the device itself works fine. Now the questions becomes how to fix this and which side messed it up.

I solved this issue. You need to delete any music from before and redownload and transfer. You can transfer the files from your phone to your computer so that you can at least have a record of what you had before if you had a lot. Shouldnt be this difficult but oh well.

I'm a little confused. Can you help me out? When you say delete any music from before, do you mean delete it from Rhapsody on the PC or delete it from the phone, or both? If you try to download music on your phone from Rhapsody does it tell you "license acquisition failed"? Even though it tells me that on the phone when I sign into my Rhapsody account that song that "failed" on the phone is there to download to my PC. Then I can transfer it to the phone. But if I try to "authorize" my device it tells me I have to format the media card and the device. Maybe my problem is a little more convoluted then some of the others here. Don't know. If you don't mind could you provide a novice with a little more detail on what you did? Thanks so much.
