    Default How to update OS on a Mac

    This is going to seem very nooby but ive got a bad cold and dont know how to do this on a mac, my bb is currently running .553 os and i want to update it to .713 i think that is the newest os i am on o2 UK thanks for the help guys

    You cant. You need to do it from a windows partition. Most installation packages are .exe and wont run on a mac. Do you have another PC or a friend with a PC. A lot of people will create a small windows partition on their mac just for ugrading BB. BTW not cool to bump your own thread after a few hours. Good luck

    yea i know i try not to bump ma threads i havent been feeling good so ive been all impatient, thanks for the tips i will just borrow one of my friends laptops and get my storm all updated

    If you update the os a lot it might be worth it for you to create a windows partition on the mac

    I would do that but its hard drive is filled up with music it is kinda annoying that rim don't fully support Macs DM was a step in the right direction
