| | Unlocked VZW Storm 2 on AT&T
I recently lost my 9800 so I was given a VZW Storm 2 (9550) by a friend. I contacted VZW to have my phone unlocked. Everything seems to be working except for the internet. I tried the directions for the Storm, and I am still not able to use the browser unless I am on WiFi. I am getting my e-mails though. Does anyone have any pointers?

You need to carry over at&t service books onto the 9550 .. Download CrackUtil:
Step 1: Open Desktop Manager and connect your phone
Step 2: Right click on CrackUtil and Run As Administrator
Step 3: Click on the INTERMEDIATE tab
Step 4: Click the Retrieve File Listing button
Step 5: Scroll down to net_rim_bb_browser_daemon and click Remove File From Device (phone will reboot)
Step 6: Go to Desktop Manager and click on Restore
Step 7: Choose the .IPD file you downloaded from above
Step 8: Go back to CrackUtil and click on Load File to Device.
Step 9: Choose net_rim_bb_browser_daemon (phone may reboot)
AT&T TCP/IP Settings
Step 1: On your BlackBerry, go to Options
Step 2: Find the TCP/IP option
Step 3: Enter “wap.cingular” in the APN field
Step 4: Enter “wap@cingulargprs.com” in the Username field
Step 5: Enter “CINGULAR1″ in the Password field
Step 6: Save and exit the TCP/IP screen and find the Host Routing Tables screen
Step 7: In the options, choose Register Now. You will receive a “message sent” notification.
Step 8: If you do not receive an instant email saying your device was registered, contact AT&T and ask them to provision your phone onto their network.

Maybe you don't have the correct data plan on your account.

Should be but it might have not been provisioned properly on your account. Sometimes it falls off. Double check with your carrier.

Double check with your carrier. | Thanks for the tip, freethisberrydotcom. I tried to open up crackutil, however I keep getting an error message saying "password incorrect" and it accepts the password in DM. I'll contact AT&T, but I am not too optimistic that they will be any help with this issue.

try to disable the password on your device and then try again.

Thanks alot for your help, freethisberrydotcom! Sadly my two days off from work end today, so I won't have much time to play with the Storm 2. I will start scanning the marketplace for a replacement Torch or Bold.
