I'm a long time "user" of crackberry. Just recently got the courage to actually register.

What can i do to get my Storm to work like my Torch on MTN Zambia????

I'm in Africa for work (Zambia, to be specific) and I came with an unlocked ATT branded BB 9800 Torch. I took it to my carrier's service centre and they did some magic and voila! it works wonderfully with the BIS; BBM, App World etc... no complaints there.

However, I recently bought another new unlocked BlackBerry Storm2 9550 (Verizon branded) and I've had problems getting it configured on my preferred carrier, MTN Zambia, to connect it to the BIS or setting up emails. All i can do is call or text (sometimes). It does show i have 3G coverage though

I am using the same SIM card as the one on my torch since its the one that has been registered for the internet service.

I did manage to remove the "activation required" thingy on the home screen. I tried to resend the service books and register the HRT as some of the users have suggested but to no avail.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. what's the use of a smartphone if you can't use the net or bbm
