Storm 2 - Shuffle music adjustment

I am transitioning more of my iTunes library to my BB Storm 9530. One thing I really like about my iTunes is the ability to set the likelyhood of artists/songs repeating while in shuffle.

An example: one of my playlists in BB has over 70 songs in it. It keeps repeating some of the songs before getting to the rest of the list. In iTunes I can set shuffle where this isn't as likely to occur.

I have found no adjustment like this on the BB. Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust this?

I'd check the playlist to be sure you don't have those repeating songs on it twice. Or f its built by artist or album, make sure there's no repeats with those. I believe that's the only this can happen. My playlists play every song once then it stops.

I've found the shuffle to be really lacking on the Storm2 for some reason. I can add every artist (over 60+ with several full albums each) to a playlist, and I'll still get many 'blocks' of songs by the same artist. In the course of listening for about a half hour in the morning drive, I had at least five Beatles songs in a row (three in sequential order from the same album!) the other day from a sample of something like 1,500 random songs. It would be coincidental if it didn't happen often. Granted, I probably have more Beatles albums than others, but still, it seems like whatever algorithm the phone uses to 'shuffle' sometimes has a brain fart.

Yeah, I agree with that. It's too coincidental how some songs or artists repeat. As for the blocks, in my case it's because I'm bringing my music in from iTunes. I've found out now that the only way I can get every song is to pay iTunes 30 cents per song to make it a format that the BB will accept. The difference is whether I downloaded that artist from iTunes or from a CD. There's an article somewhere here on Crackberry about that. I'll try to find it.
