Bettermost, I removed quickpull and reinstalled it. once installed, set all persmissions to "allow" and then do an actual battery pull.

Just picked up an S2 today. Never had the S1, can't compare it to that, but I can compare it to a Tour and an iPhone.

So far, the S2 is exactly what I would have hoped for. Quick and smooth; comparable to an iPhone 3G in speed (not a 3GS).

OS 5.0 has some REALLY nice enhancements compared with 4.7 on my Tour.

One issue I have is the vibrate module on the S2 pretty much sucks. I can barely feel it, though it does make a lot of noise. Not sure if I'm going to exchange it since setting up a new BlackBerry is such a pain in the *** - moving icons, setting up BIS/BES, installing apps, reseting and entering registration codes, etc.

Don't understand I had a Curve and 8220 and I was able to keep both cel provider service and wifi on at the same time.

Cant on the S2?

It's amazing that so many are having issues with the S2 already. The S2 seems to be an incremental update at best; i.e., not worth the upgrade if you already have a S1. Maybe that will change with future OS updates. Probably a decent upgrade from a non touch screen berry though.

The tech support person in the store couldn't figure it out and finally said it is a software glitch. Anybody else?????
I have the same error. I'm on BES, so I wonder if that could be a cause for the cryptic error message.

Google Maps seems to work, however.

The dimming is an OS issue and to turn off word suggestion, go to options, turn to landscape mode (important) language and text input, then change word completion to auto correction and your all set

Default Ring tones not working

I'm a newbie who upgraded to Storm2 from a Pearl. All of a sudden ring tones aren't working. Won't ring when calls come in. Gives an error when playing any sounds. Won't play any media, even video.

Is anyone else having trouble setting up their e-mail? If I put in my e-mail login with the @yahoo.com, it says blank user name. Then when I use just my login name, it says invalid.

This is my last obstacle to having it just right. Ahhh!

I had that problem too. I did a battery pull and then all the sudden everything works. Try it. Hopefully it will work for you.

Regarding the BB maps error I think rim has yet to update it to be compatible w/5.0.
