I actually had a problem with one of the storms I bought. The screen did not click right. After using mine I could tell that something was not right. That an there was movement when it was locked. The kind folks at vzw gave me a hard time about switching them too

Only problem i seem to have is the lack of apps working correctly.

must be the OS5.

Storm1 themes seem to work ok and some storm apps.

Question for you all. Does BB App world only show apps that work on your handset. A few apps that i used on my curve 8310 dont appear now.

Much more responsive than v 1.0 and typing is way better. Still basically the same stuff though, browser, media player. This is just an less buggy Storm 1 IMO. This OS is still not ideal for touchscreen. Enough with the drop down menus and clicking through several menu options to get something. Keep selecting the wrong stuff. This is the same issue with Windows Mobile. Not optimized for touchscreen use.

still can't find it...

all i want to do is get rid of auto-complete...please anyone...you have no idea how bad it irritates me a computer tries to guess what im thinking...

anybody else having problems running BOLT on their s2? it is not registering any screen touches for me... i can go to menu, select address, and then type it in, but the cursor does not move at all when i move my finger across the screen. i'm hoping it's BOLT's fault... and that they'll put out a new working release soon as i really don't like the native BB browser.

Hmmm. That's strange. I have a 9700 curve. And when I'm on my wifi, I still get all my BB services. Including BBM. If this is a problem with storm 2, I guess I won't be switching to VZW and getting one. I'll stick to my TMO and get the Bold 9700 when it comes out.

What does "cannot play media while phone is active" mean? It wont let me watch or listen to anything. I also cant use speakerphone during a call. WTF?

also... i tried transferring from my 8330 to the 9550 and it didn't copy any of my contacts. all of my messages/files got copied but no contacts... which is what i really need. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fort what it's worth they also checked my PIN and it is in working order.

UMA is for voice calling over wife. It's not data. VZW did in fact NOT enable UMA. But they did enable data over wifi.

I have had the S2 for a couple of hours here is what I think

Phone seems to be more stable than Storm 1 with OS .328
WiFi = Thumbs up

White bars on landscape with custom theme
Dim LED

I am having problems with Bolt also. I can get it to come up but anything that requires typing is not working correctly. When you are to type numbers it types text and when you are to type text it types numbers. This is driving me crazy.

when I try to open blackberry map it tell me "your current default services do not provide access to map data" what should I do? I checked all of my gps settings and everything looks fine to me.

I like how nearly everything works with the phone except just a couple things:

When typing in Qwerty mode, the phone wants to try and spell things for me. I tried finding ways to disable this but found none. Anyone have an idea?

Also, I tried to play some ring tones on the phone and it said it can't play anything while the phone is active. Any way around this?

The LED is definitely dimmer. It looks as if they put a film over the LED to blur the light so you don't see the distinct colors when they're combined. It DID work because the purple is purple instead of seeing a purpleish and blue LED on at the same time on Ver 1.

Get BerryBuzz and make the notifications "Bright [color]". Great program.

Yes if you find out before me, please let me know...it has been killing me the whole day...the disabling of it trying to spell for me...and again if it possible to do the same thing in portrait mode with the suretype keyboard!!!

Options -> SMS Text -> Disable Auto-Text -> OFF

See if that does what you want ....

I can't device switch from my old Pearl 8120, but I think that's a restriction on Desktop Manager that my employer has imposed. Expect contacts to synch OTA when they do the enterprise activation.

I gave it a full charge and I am down to 35% battery life after only four hours off the charger. I have had major issues with the signal as well. If I have someone sitting beside me with a VZW blackberry other than the storm two they have full signal and mine is in and out. I called tech support and they advised that it sounds like a phone issue so I am taking it back now.
