Storm 2 Problems? Post here

Mine was rock solid all day. Loaded apps...synced calendars texted and blackberry messengered all day and night with no issue. Before I went to bed last night I put the profile to loud as Im on call for my job this week. When I woke up in the morning well rested I gabbed my S2 to check my email...and it was black screen frozen. no buttons worked nothing. I thought oh no I missed calls last night!! thankfully I got lucky....and a battery pull fixed the phone. it was still 90 % charged. I was like wtf....and its totally fine today...fast responsive clicks great...thoughts? annomly? I dont trust it and Im on call till sunday gulp!

My end key doesn't work except once and a while when I press it super hard. Any one else having this issue?

I haven't noticed. If anything, I think the LED is better. It looks like it's "closer" to the little window where you can see it - no gap like I had on my 9530.

It looks like all the complaints are OS related. The Hardware is where RIM had to capitalize on. And they Did. So in the end........it was good

Hey There FM, I was having the same issue with the enterprise email. Back on my Storm1 with 5.0.0.328, I was able to have three separate inboxes: "Desktop", "Yahoo", and "Gmail" all separated. Then, I simply just hid the generic "messages" folder.

I can't find that Desktop inbox icon.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for responding. I thought maybe that may be the issue as well, but they started the port request in the morning, so when we got there, within 10 minutes our ATT phones were no longer working, and our Storms were doing everything, except receiving txts from other people.

Anyhow, as follow up, we call this morning and apparently its on their network end. They tried to reset it and it didn't work, so they escalated the ticket. Hopefully soon it will be fixed.

I no longer have delivery receipt on my messages of any format, bbm, sms, mms.
What gives??

EDIT, there is an option for delivery report now but it is per message based!!!

Is there a fix for this to leave it on all the time???

yea i am. but it seems to be all of the "buttons" at the bottom that dont seem to work. also last night the phone would randomly shut off and restart itself, i did a battery pull a couple times because it wouldnt turn back on. then the screen would like, almost lock up. it couldnt be pushed in at all. i have a feeling im going to have to exchange it, but i want to wait until the stores get the next batch of them.

Last nite my sure press just stopped working after foiling around with the camera. Flipping to landscape mode freed up the sure press looks like we have buggy software once again

I thought there was an option when typing that it would pop up what letter you were typing. I saw it when I upgraded my s1, but now after picking up the s2 I dont see that option. Does anyone know where this feature is at?

Relax that option isn't in the latest OS for S1.

All of you that are having lock up and reboot issues. Have you installed any apps?
I hear there are a lot of apps that are not fully compatible with the new OS. I have heard suggestions to remove ALL extra apps and try the phone like that, if it behaves good then add one app and try it again for a while. Continue with that method until you run into the problem again. It could even be an app to app issue.
It would be nice to know what apps are causing problems if this works.

Is anyone else only able to send emails and not receive them? I am using BIS and can send emails, but my inbox for my yahoo account is building up with nothing being pushed to my Storm2. Hmmmm.

My dad was not getting emails last night either very quickly. They could take 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc before they would show up on the S2. All of a sudden, he would show up with 5 emails coming through at once. Weird?? My emails on the S1 came through instantly like usual. I didn't know if it was a phone issue or a network issue though with a server on his end.
