I am starting to get serious lag with my phone, sometimes when typing...it seems it cant cope with the speed and freezes up to the point some keys remain hilghlighted, mainly in BBM...and quite frankly I consider myself a slow typer so what s going on?.

No a wipe and reset are different. There is not guarantee that a wipe will fix it. But it may be worth a shot. If you have time you can try both. Do the factory reset first. You can use BBSAK to do both.

But this sounds to me like a service book issue. Check out the link I sent previously and see if that helps first.

No worries your English is just fine. Just making sure I understood the problem correctly. I would first try a Factory reset using BBSAK. If that doesn't fix it then try wiping it with BBSAK and reinstalling the OS.

It is supposed to do that. The device assumes you have it in the car cradle and automatically goes to hands free mode.

No that doesn't look normal to me. Here are my stats:

Sounds like you are either running to many apps at one time or you have an app/theme with a really bad memory leak. You may want to look into BerryMeter to help you track down the problem.

My phone is showing that I've got 3 new messages on instant messenger. When I go onto it there are no messages which are new. I'm wondering if anybody knows how to get rid of this? I've tried closing all conversations etc and it still shows as 3 new messages. Even when I deleted everyone it still showed, so readded them and it's still there.

Try to find your Messages Icon. Looks like a plain envelop. All messages should show up in there.

My blackberry storm has the signal bars fluctuate from zero to five to two and back to zero again. It does all that in the same location without me even touching the phone. The weird part about is that i can still make and receive calls.
I've called VZ but they told me they cant do much about it. I've changed the setting from "Global" to the 1xEV but that hasn't helped much. I've done the *228 opt 1 & 2 but still no luck. Taken out the battery and put it back in and still the same issue.
The phone works fine its just that none of my other phones have ever had such unstable reception showing most have been really good and steady, Every phone fluctuates but this one tells me I have no bars in the L.A. area which is ridiculous.
Has anyone had this issue, if so your input would be greatly appreciated.
My 30 day trial is almost over before i decide to keep it or take it back..

Ok....I'm new here first off! So hi everyone! Now, down to business!

Ok, I have two AP's on our internal network! One DHCP server (Win 2003 Server) everytime we put our BlackBerry S2 on the network via WIFI we start getting duplicate IP messages on our desktops! After we disconnect our phones from the WIFI and go 3G....seems the problem goes away! Any ideas what may be causing this? Thanks for your help guys/gals!

My Storm 2 is about a week old and I noticed while sitting in a very quiet room that there is a constant low volume static coming from my Storm. When I put it close to my ear I find it is coming from the mike at the bottom of the phone. I've shut it off and rebooted but when the phone powers up it starts again. Anyone else had this problem? Suggestions before I return it?

That sounds like a hardware issue to me but you could try to install a newer OS and see if it does any good.

I've got .428 and .451 of which I had not trouble with except in .451 a small problem with music playback. Go here for upgrade instructions.

But like I said I think it is a hardware issue and I would take it back. Good luck.

Your not alone my friend. Mine does it to but I haven't had any call/data issue due to this that I have noticed. My S1 does this too.

Anyone else notice this?

Got it, for me anyway it was a problem with Vlingo

I found this Thread (look on second page) on the subject and uninstalled Vlingo and problem solved.
Do you have Vlingo installed by chance?
