Default Storm 2 just went crazy!!!!!!

Ok my S2 is 2 weeks old almost nothing but an elicit theme and weather bug installed. I come walking down my hallway with my S2 in my pocket and it starts vibrating and doesnt stop for about a full min. everything was locked touching the screen or any of the buttons did nothing. After about a min of vibrating the phone just shut off and reset itself. when it came back up it vibrated twice like normal and has a yellow bubble like a message is there I tried to look for it and the phone reset itself again. When it came back up it shows 2 messages some where but I cant find anything. Its a yellow bubble like the blue BB messager icon.

Any ideas?????

Wow! That is weird- I just started having trouble with mine too. I keep getting message alerts that don't go away once they are read and out of the blue my phone froze and reset also. I was just searching the forums for a fix.

Standard question: Did you try a battery pull? I'd that doesn't work try deleting all third party apps then do another battery pull. If THAT doesn't work I would try wiping it an reloading the OS. Instructions and the OS download can be found on this forum.

I wiped mine and reloaded, shrinking the OS with Shrink-A-OS. My S2 runs better, clicks better, and I have over 130mb of memory with several third party apps installed.

If all of that doesn't work I would exchange it. Good luck and report back what happened.

You two should try wiping the phone with BBSAK and reinstalling. If that doesn't fix it, it is hardware and I'd get a replacement.

Good luck!

Edit: The first thing I do when I get a new BlackBerry is I wipe the OS completely and reinstall the entire thing from scratch. Even the new in box ones. This I find helps.

i have had the problem with the message icon showing up with no new messages. I also had a problem that i could not delete a bbm from the phone. The only thing that fixed these problems was a battery pull. I took the phone into the store each time and showed them both problems. The tech looked at it and changed some settings. That did nothing. The tech did a battery pull and the problem was fixed. He told me that if it happened again he will order me a new phone. Well it happened over the weekend. The morning i was going to take it in the phone froze and re-booted on it's own. I could not show it to the tech. Guess i will have to wait for it to happen again. Other then that the phone has been great.

no ideas, but welcome to my world. I was stoked that my new S2 was working great...for about a week. then all h*ll broke loose and after many resets and reloading the OS a couple of times, I took both S2's back for refund. I can't have an undependable phone, no matter what gee-whiz features it has. I miss the features, but I don't miss the hassle!

If it is the yellow bubble with 3 lines in the middle then it is either a SMS/MMS message or a voice mail message. Check your SMS/ MMS folder if it is separate from your Messages folder. Also check your call log.
