SMS Ringer WONT CHANGE
Hi new blackberry user. I just got a storm 2 thursday, and am having a problem
I cannot get my SMS message to change. No matter what I do, it says it is playing my selected ringtone, when I try it, it plays my selected ringtone, but when I get a text it just plays the default beep. I have successfully changed my phone ringtone, and my email ringtones. Why this one wont work is really frustrating me.
On a side note, I bought a defender case with it, and accidentally tested it on blacktop today.....worked good - 06-12-2010, 10:41 AMThread Author #2
Ok. I uninstalled my beta version eBay app and it works good now. Thanks to those that would have helped if given enough time.

you have to change your stored contacts with numbers only no: (,),-, or spaces 10 or 11 digit # is fine. Good luck!

You can input your contact numbers however you'd like.
I have some as <area code>-<123>-<4567>
Some as *82 <areacode> <123> <4567>
Notice where I have spaces, or the hyphen(-)
I have the Google Sync app. I easily input the contact information via PC and sync after. I have the *82 for know contacts I frequently call The bad part is that you can't SMS/MMS a contact with a *82.
