SIM card under the battery trick
I read this trick on the bbhybrids website and I think it might actually be helping so I thought I would throw it out there for some others to try. Basically all you do is remove your battery and put a thin piece of metal under it or your SIM card works too since you don't really need it if you're on Verizon and put the battery back in on top of it. I'm noticing quite a bit of improvement in my bottom buttons. Has anyone else tried this trick?

Yes this is what I've been talking about. I haven't used my Sim card but with some other "mods" I have gotten a better affect. All my four bottom buttons click great while laying flat now.

Exactly what thickness are you talking about?
.032?
thicker? - 12-02-2009, 10:58 PM #5
From what I've seen is that those foam pieces don't work good enough. Just three strips of electrical tape behind the battery work good. Also put a small piece behind the return key to get that working while the phone is laying down flat.

This is great! My s2's screen was too soft and would often cause multiple clicks when only one was intended. This helped. Now the screen required a bit more pressure in order to clock. Love it. Thanks!

LOL.....I have absolutely ZERO issues with my screen. I'm assuming a very small number of people will never be satisfied with their phone. Oh well, I'll keep enjoying mine as is...

The only time I have issues pressing the buttons is when the phones vibrating after i get a txt. I have to let it finish before the screen will click again. This part of the problem or a normal thing?

I folded up a small piece of aluminum foil about the size of a sim card and put it under the battery and the S2 click has improved immensely. No issues with the bottom buttons anymore. (It was usually the send button) Also th entire screen clicks better.
Thanks for the tip.
For the Storm 1 which my wife uses I came up with an idea to use a velcro strip the size of my thumb print. It works perfect and gives the best click for the Storm 1 better than a dime or business card. - 12-03-2009, 03:15 PM #12
What is i put some tape (clear giftwrappign type on both sides of the sim card and that did it for me, they click while down and they dont overclick like it used to

Welcome to 2008.
I think we first learnt of this trick from ancient drawings on cave walls.Last edited by kriptikchicken; 12-03-2009 at 04:28 PM.
