Default Security Timer reset permissions and BESx

I know this is a duplicate post, but no one has been able to help with this issue in the Administrator forums. Here is the original post: BESX Security Timer

I updated to 607 and in attempting to re-install all of my applications, I cannot change the default permissions for any app to allow all (Meterberry, Patternlock, VyMail, etc. all require it). At most, it will only allow custom or prompt, but for security timer reset, it's always "Deny" and can't be changed. Just prior to the update to 607, I migrated from BPS to BESX. So my phone has the default IT policy installed that comes with BESx (basically wide open). I still can't change any of these permissions. I even created a new policy and a new software application policy, then assigned it to my user account in BESx. I set all the permission to allow in the policy and forced the policy onto my phone (by USB and OTA).

I still can't change the default permissions. With BPS or older versions of the OS, I could easily change the default permissions, by changing it for the email app and setting all to allow. I don't have those options now. I've wiped the phone 4 times in my attempt to fix this problem and a few options that I have been having with apps, that all boil down to permission issues.

Can anyone help me find a way to get these to work? Is it a limitation of BESx or .607? Or perhaps I'm just doing something wrong within BESx? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    24 views and counting....

I guess no one is using BESx, or at least doesn't have these problems...

Kind of disgusting, isn't it? Not a single corporate BlackBerry user on the entire site? Or are they just too arrogant to help the peons?

I'm still searching, if I find the answer I'll post back here. You do the same for me?

I can't allow Security Timer Reset in any of my apps either with my corporate IT policy. My apps work fine.

The setting isn't in the standard IT policy. It's part of the application control policy for unlisted applications.

under bes 5.0 it' s in the software section of the administration interface

Do you have password enabled? If so, IT policy (other than blank) will disable the ability to change the security timer, or so I was told by our BES admin. Are there any other BES admins that can confirm?

I'm the admin for our BESx server, but I wouldn't consider myself an expert. In the end, I still can't changed the "Security Timer reset" (it's grayed out). However, I had to create separate policies (IT policy and software application policy) for me, and set all permissions to allow, to be able to install/ edit new software and be able to change the permission to what the software required.

I do not have password enabled, and that option is still grayed out. I have created new

BESx is different than BES I think. Perhaps that's an issue, not sure.

    On BESx its under:

Software->Manage default application control policies-> Standard Required -> Access Settings.

You will also have to do it for Standard Optional

Default Whatsapp for BB Torch 9800 "security timer reset" permission problems

I cannot change the security timer reset to "allow"...it will not change from "deny".
There is no IT Policy listed on my phone either, unless for some reason it isn't letting me know there is one. It is a company phone so pretty sure its BES. I have...

    Blackberry 9800
    3G WiFi
    6.0 bundle 2647 (v6.0.0.600, Platform 6.6.0.223)

    Current Whatsapp Version 2.7.9379

I recently re-downloaded this whatsapp version above in attempt to see if that would fix things, i'm not sure if this was the version I had when things stopped working. I have re-downloaded a few different versions now, yet nothing! Whatsapp worked fine for 4 months and I didn't update my OS.
I also recently downloaded the BB bundle listed above. I was using an older version when whatsapp stopped working for me. But that hasn't helped either.

Do all whatsapp versions require "allow" in all of the permission settings?
Maybe there is a different OS bundle that I could download that would allow me to edit all permissions? Don't know where to start...completely stumped! Greatly appreciate any help!
