Ringtone won't show up

Hey all! I created a ringtone (on my mac with garageband) and have tried to transfer it. I have tried creating a smart playlist for ringtones then syncing music as well as dragging and dropping directly to the card. After the drag and drop it shows on the card, but when i go to make it my ringtone it is nowhere to be found. The sync also shows that it was transferred. Any clues? Thanks!
