Question Problems with bedside mode

I have a Storm 2 9550 v5.0.0.1015 (Bundle 1656, platform 4.2.0.442) that I just received to replace my old failed Storm 1. I setup bedside mode like I had it on my old phone and it works great when I connect it to my computer however it does not go in to bedside mode automatically when I connect to the charger that came with the phone. I verified that the phone is charging, the battery icon displays the lightning bolt. Any ideas whey it only works connected to my computer?

Thanks

It works connected to the computer, just not to the charger. Not sure how to turn off mass storage mode when connected to the charger.

Options ---> Memory ---> Set Enable Mass Storage mode When Connected to NO

This is a known bug with .1015 on the Storm2.

Unfortunately it will not go automatically into bedside mode when charging other than using the usb connected to the computer.

So you have to enter bedside mode manually. And unfortunately it will not display the clock while in bedside mode (except using the usb).

So you loose the ability to use the storm2 as a displaying clock at night.

There is a hack for it but you'll have to search to find it.
Also, there is an updated OS version (which fixes this) for another carrier that some have been using but again you'll have to do some hacking for the installation if you're not on that carrier. (again do a search if you care to explore that)

Currently I am using Musical Clock to display the clock at night and I enter bedside mode manually.

Good Luck
