Problem with charging.. Any ideas?

Hey. I have started using my Storm 2 again. I can't seem to charge the darned thing. I have a wall charger and when I plug that in I get an image of an empty battery with a yellow bolt going through the middle. This image will stay continuously for a few minutes. The screen will then turn off, the red light will come on at the top for around 10 seconds and the process will be repeated. The same thing happens with a USB charger. Funnily enough, a friends BB car charger managed to charge my phone fully a couple of weeks ago. After this my wall charger topped up the battery each time it ran low. It won't seem to get an initial charge when it has a dead battery. Does anyone know why this is? My friend isn't around for a while so I can't use his charger to give me a jump start!

Mine doesn't sound exactly the same -- I'm using the original Blackberry wall charger that came with my Storm 2, but intermittently I'll plug it in and see nothing on the screen (other times I'll see the lightening bolt that shows it's accepting a charge). It would appear that if the lightening bolt is not visible, it's not charging -- because it tends to run out of batteries quickly afterwards.
I haven't tried a battery pull -- will do that tonight. Like countless others, this is the last straw... Too bad -- my first Blackberry... I feel bad, because I am the one who talked my husband into buying this (over any other smartphone a few years ago) -- he was happy with his Palm... I'll never hear the end of it...
Oh well. Gave it a shot. I just want something that works -- and works fast and predictably. I hope there's something out there that will do that!

I recommend buying a separate charger and a few extra batteries. They are so cheap now, I think I bought the charger and a battery for about ten bucks off eBay. Other than that, it might be a bad connection between the phone and the micro-USB jack. Mine has become very loose and I have to wiggle it a little to get a good connection so it would start charging.

Annie, I had a storm 2 for well over year and loved that thang...however, if you go get yourself an os7 device you will be amazed at the difference! They are lightyears ahead of the os5 device you have.
