If it did charge the phone, I doubt its a lot. It would probably take more battery life to send the text than to retrieve energy from pushing buttons.

What a nice thought indeed...! But just regarding the tiny little amount of power (milli or even microWatts) you're producing while typing away on your S2 screen just would mean that you'd have to type VERY fast, VERY strong and VERY long to charge your battery.
In the meantime, I'd rather wait for the solar cells instead.

I think that this screen will be better then the current one. For me I would rather have that click to hit a icon or type. I hate the on the I phone every time that you even touch the screen, it reacts.

Am I missing something? I thought the piezo technology in the phone essentially made the screen only clickable when the display is on. I played with the one here, and you can't click on the screen when it's off...there's no click. When the screen is on, it "magically" becomes clickable. Pretty cool, but I thought that's the only real use of the piezo tech.
