Ding, ding, ding...we have a winner! Once on a BES, always a security policy you'll have...unless you remove it as the poster above suggested.

work on my 9550
after two hour search on internet. i finally found it.
options>security options>information
see if you have BES
if it say no service thats mean no BES
if it say something like user profile name or service activate or unactivate. thn You have Bes
or IT Policy
solution
1. connect you phone to computer back up only phone book or apps you need( next step set your blackberry to factory setting)
2.open up command prompt (start->run->cmd)
3.For Window XP
type cd c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
press enter
For Window7
type cd c:\program files (86)\common files\research in motion\apploader
push enter
4.type LOADER.exe /resettofactory
push enter

your phone will restart

final: This will wipe the phone, put back on the latest installed OS, and remove the IT policy

Default disable password on storm 9550 (storm2)

to disable password try this:

1. go to options.
2. go to security options.
3. go to encryption, disable encryption, click save on exit. (you may be asked for password to make (authorize)this change but it should be the last time you will need it.
4. now go to password under . click on enabled next to password and then click disabled.
5. click save on exit.

Note: Password is a mandatory feature when encryption is enabled. no way around this. so you need to disable before you are permitted to disable password.

Just a newbie to this site. Hopes this works for you.
