thx howar. I just updated my S2 with a hybrid as I was experiencing tremendous keyboard lag after +12h of uptime, and although its not much better, I will take a wait and see attitude on this one, as I have other things to do.

Plz comment on battery life and keyboard lag after 24h of uptime. also sms bug, that's about it in my book

    Downloa....

Kidding! Seriously, I hope the keyboard lag is fixed. I've gotten pretty proficient with Suretype when SMSing, but it's annoying trying to type out words it doesn't have.

It might be just me, but is the browser fricking fast or what?

yea it is damn fast, those extra browser cods must be doing something lol

Will have to wait to get my hands on the wife's 9550 that has .517 on it to do a proper test, but man this browser sure seems like its faster.

Damn company blocks all the download sites if they are classified as file sharing sites. Any have an alternate host location other than Rapidshare, Megaupload, etc?

Actual install was pretty fast. At boot up, the bar filled to about 60% in 5 seconds...now it's taking its time. I'm hoping that it will boot even faster on subsequent boots.

The browser is faster. If you have a Today style theme the preview of your text messages is now showing. I pray that features stays in future builds. I sent 10 messages for my iPhone to my Storm 2, and so far I have been able to see the preview on my today screen. The downside is it shows only 2 messages at a time. Good so far.

The picture viewer is much improved..the pixel dimensions are no longer reduced which means your pictures won't look all pixely and distorted anymore!

this is neither a pro or a con, but Quicklaunch is acting differently with this os.

When you use the reset option is gives you a different message when you go to select restart now or later. Once the restart was done it also gave a message after the restart. Wonder if these messages will show when ever a program like quicklaunch or quickpull does a restart.

Anyone with quickpull wanna test this out?

and sorry to get off topic here but is quick launch worth the 5 bucks? ive been watching DOD in the appstore waiting for it to go on sale but im tempted to just buy it.

    Very quick and responsive
I have been trying to open up BerryWeather and all i get is a white screen
I just did a battery pull, so hopefully this corrects it

I also noticed the font is smaller with the portrait keyboard and when I was typing in portrait with Suretype I noticed that a word would bold when highlighted to make suggestions for you which I think is knew

EDIT: Battery pull corrected the problem with BerryWeather

yes quicklaunch is very worth it. Set the side convenience key to quicklaunch and you have access to virtually every app, phone #, email address, Video,Pic everything from one menu. Add in stop tilt and the reset feature and quicklaunch is worth all of the 5 bucks he charges for it.

Yes. It's like several apps in one. (Stay Lit, Screen Capture, Device Reboot, Flashlight and more) Has the backup/restore feature also.
