When you update your OS, does it typically delete all your contacts, 3rd party apps, mail accounts, etc.? When I updated yesterday, mine did. In a panic (because some of my 3rd party apps were a little costly), I did a full restore from the backup the DM made prior to updating the OS. While I got back most of the important stuff, several of my icons were missing including BB Maps (including the ability to use the GPS and satellite connection feature), BB Messenger (which I've since dl'd from the store), all of the preloaded games, VZ Navigator, and a few others. The service books and modules are still there though for maps and messenger.
Is it possible it was a bad update/restore? I'm currently running 320. Would it be possible to completely wipe it, reload 320, and get all of those features back? | Yes, during the install/update process, it will delete all and install over your existing OS, however it will auto backup your device except third party apps.
Hope this helps
PS: Do a batt pull and it should resend the service books from VZ for the preloaded VZ apps. BBM and BBMaps can be downloaded from BB website.
