Thanks CX, when I connected the other day on my desktop pc, I got the update automatically. Today I conneced to my notebook, and it wants to update again, I dont understand why since I have the latest version of DM and 9550 firmware.. When I had my curve, this never happened.. so not sure what is going on. If you have an idea, I would appreciate it. TIA

Im not 100% but I think if you have .328 from your 9530 still installed on your computer your DM will try to install it. Since the 9550 is running .320 it thinks .328 is newer. Once I removed .328 from my computer my DM no longer prompted me to install newer OS.

This constant prompting to upgrade your core 5.0 applications is a known issue at RIM tech support and they "hope to have an answer soon". I have had several hours of conversation and exchanged several emails over the past few dayswith them about this.

I have no idea what any of this means. I bought my Storm2 about a week ago. I assume it has all the lastest and greatest. How do I find out and what do I do if it doesn't?

Ugh...

All I know os the bluetooth bug is there. I connected it to my radio and my controls didn't work I know I had this bug in an earlier firmware on the 8900 but the new one fixed it. That's all I have to add for this os.

Exclamation Should I do it?

I have the S1 with .328 and I love it. My questions is should I make the move and upgrade to the S2?

Please let me know your thoughts....

I too had the Storm 1 and I wavered on the Storm 2. I finally opted for the Storm 2 and I'm glad I did. In my opinion, if the Storm 2 would have been the phone that came out last year, this phone would have been highly praised by most.

The electronic click screen is way more responsive than the Storm 1. At first I did not think it was that big of a deal until I adapted to typing on the Storm 2.
The feel of the phone is more solid and feels of better quality.

As far as the Blackberry OS goes, its the same ole boring thing but...it works like it should. No hang ups, no freezes and no reboots. The vibration alert is a little weird and can be annoying to you or others if you have many alerts.

The specs on the screen are the same as the Storm 1 but the Storm 2 looks brighter and more clear. I also believe the flick scrolling is more responsive than the Storm 1..

Having the extra memory is also a plus, you can load a ton of more apps and not have to worry about running out of memory space.

WiFi is cool but I believe the Wifi radio is weak. It will not find the same hotspots as my laptop can find. For instance, at my moms house when I visit, I get about 70% signal strength on my lap top in the room I'm in. The phone's wifi will not pick it up at all unless I'm closer to the signal source.

Well that is my two cents.

This os is garbage bluetooth is all jacked up the network signal bar goes crazy the reboots when getting text and the button issues. I've been getting annoyed when ill receive a text the vibrate will go off I try to click the screen but it is hard and it doesn't respond I have to hit the volume burton for the screen to react to turn on so I could click. I hope a newer os gets put out or leaks

Because they are stupid. The .320 has less features than the .328.

OS'es for different models can't necessarily be compared based on number as the software for each device has to be developed independently. Granted, there are quite a few similarities, but it really like comparing apples and oranges to compare an OS between 2 different models based on nothing other than version #.

To think that 5.0.0.328 for the 9530 is "8 better" than 5.0.0.320 for the 9550 is...well, to put it politely...wrong.

While I agree with you, the fact that .328 fixed the bug with home page icons updating tells me that .328 is ahead of .320, which makes absolutely negative .008 worth of sense.

Actually there are differences.
I like some features of 328 on my old S1.
The S2 is nice but I miss some of the settings.

Oh, well. I'll be keeping the S2.
