Default Newbie needs help with contacts

Howdy, so I recently had my "oldbold" stolen, and have a new Storm2 now. I have backed up and synched said bold, Im not asking much mind you, I just would like all of my old phone numbers. For some reason the "switch device" was mia on my old BB desktop software, so did I screw up when I deleted that old BB software and installed the updated version? I did not click on, "delete prefferences". Am I screwed or can someone save me from myself? Maybe there is some way to extract the old file and get the numbers as text and manually add them? :-) Thanks!

Nevermind, downloaded (and paid) for the Blackberry back up extractor, worked like a charm.

Default How to extract contacts from old back up

How I finally did it was to:

Download (pay) for Blackberry back up rescue program
run it and save your contacts to a .cfv file
export these to outlook
re-export those files to a comma separated windows file,
go to gmail and import that csf file into your gmail account
download "google sync" to my phone
synch with gmail

Btw, I know I could have done the same thing with BB desktop, I just didn't have a usb cable on hand to sync up with, so I paid for the BB rescue program instead, and didn't have to go to best buy lol.

If you have Verizon you could have just used their free backup assist app. It saves your contact list once a day online and you can download it onto any VZW device at any time.

Glad to hear you got your contacts though.
