Default Release date

So.. Are we still looking at October 14th as the possible date for release of Storm 2?

Hey Turbo, can you confirm if the Storm 2 has the Qualcomm MSM 7627 CPU?

It's possible, although without even being announced it seems unlikely. It could play out that it releases on Vodafone the 14th then the 21st for Verizon. All signs point to sooner rather than later though.

For the ones that tried the phone:
What's the difference between the storm 2 Surepress feedback and a touchscreen phone that only reproduces the sound of a "clik" (like the iphone)?

Well I can even answer that. You will actually feel a click.

on any storm, you will actually push down the screen until the screen clicks. On any other touch screen phone, there screens are fixed and do not move at all and make a clicking sound when you hit a key to let you know you selected it.

its all up to you if you like a fixed screen or a surepress screen for typing.. some people hate it, some people love it.

Hi

I know my post is a bit late than others but I noticed that the Storm 2 with the Piezo tech screen hates being smushed inside the pocket.

I noticed that if i put it in my jeans pocket the screen goes haywire.

I have to do a reboot after.

the storm is a great phone but the screen is the big bummer.

Any views on this or simmilar experience? Thanks a lot!!!

That's because your thigh is activating the screen. I carried mine in my pocket with the screen in and never had an issue, but I always made sure it was locked (via lock button on top left). If you're locking yours similarly and it's still giving you problems, look into getting a case or carrying it in a holster.

Hi Thanks for the feedback.

I have a holster and does not seems to help. hmmm.

Anyway other than that works well but I think it is a common problem for storm 2.

Other comments will be greately appreciated.
