Default Need help installing the .1082 OS

I'm having trouble installing this OS because when I connect my device it and start the loader, it gives me this error "The Blackberry software Blackberry device software for the device you have connected to your computer..." I read online that this is due to me having a Verizon phone and this OS is for Appalachian Wireless. I did some more research and found that I need to delete the vendor.xml and this didn't work. Neither did these trick:

I need DM to stop looking for OS through my internet connection and just use the one I installed on the computer.

All I need is the Desktop Manager to recognize this OS I downloaded and it will be fine. It worked once before and after I redid my OS for my COMPUTER, it stopped working. How do I get DM to find the OS I downloaded?
