Smile My Interesting/Amusing Conversation With Verizon

So after a few weeks of trying to fix my S2 from randomly rebooting and going into a constant reboot cycle unless plugged in to a power source, I called CS to get a replacement. I have been around the forums for a while and know a lot when it comes to loading the OS and such (been doing it for about 2 and a half years now). I was speaking to the rep and he asked me if I was running OS 5 or OS 6, to which I obviously replied OS 5 since OS 6 cannot run on the S2. He then says to me that he assures me that OS 6 will be coming to the S2 very soon. I informed him that the S2 does not have the hardware required to run OS 6 as much as we would have all loved to see that happen. His response was simply that OS 6 was beginning to roll out to several devices and that I should expect OS 6 on my S2 sometime in the future. I told him that I wish that were true and that I was just excited for the next line of BB's to come out for VZW. We had a good laugh and he told me he was on the same page as I was. After a quick transfer, his supervisor got on the phone and asked what I had done so far to try and remedy the situation (all of the obvious things, full device wipes and downgrading the OS, etc), to which he immediately set up delivery for a new device to be sent out since it is still under an extended warranty. This is not a thread to get anyone's hopes up since OS 6 will obviously never come to the S2, but rather me sharing a funny experience I had. It amazes me how little the employees are in the know at the carriers compared to those of us here on CB. I have always been and will continue to be a BB fanatic, and am excited to see what we will get in the next line of BB's. I hope that you all can enjoy this story and please feel free to share any similar experienced. On a side note, the service was great and it probably took less than 10 minutes to complete the entire process.

I didn't even bother getting into it with his supervisor since he sounded to be just as knowledgeable as the CS rep. The replacement was delivered about 12 hours after that phone call and the problem is now fixed!
