Losing Calls When Power/Lock Key Activated?

Hi -- is anyone else noticing a problem when trying to answer calls when the Power/Lock button is activated? I use this button when I put the phone in my back pocket, but inevitably I hang up on any caller when I try to retrieve the phone and unlock it. It doesn't seem to matter which button i press (lock, screen, volume) -- no matter what, I lose the call.

Am I missing something, or is there something I can do to prevent this?
