long time storm2 user needing help...

hey guys,

i'd been using the storm2 9550 since it launched in late '09, and still found it to be my fone of choice even now, that is, until i lost it a couple of days ago...

after losing it, i was able to use bb protect to lock the fone, wipe my data, etc., but wasn't able to track it since the gps isn't enabled by default... having approached the cops since, they informed me that it could be tracked using the device's IMEI code/no..... to my knowledge, every cellphone has a 15 digit imei code, but the storm2 9550 box i have has no such number stated.... instead it has some MEID dec. no of 18 digits.

any ideas on how i can retrieve or find out my device's IMEI code, using the box or any other means?

on a side note, i've been using a cousin's old CURVE 8520 for a couple of days now, and i know i'm one in a million who say that i hate the tiny keys on the bb keyboard, and miss my touchscreen surepress + suretype storm2 device more than ever

It should be on the box and listed as IMEI. Which carrier do you use? They should have the info since the 9550 is a CDMA phone (I think so, anyway), and as such you'd have to have it registered on your account (not like a GSM phone that can use a SIM card from the same network).

it was an unlocked verizon 9550 that i was using on a gsm network in india... and yeah, i'm surprised as **** it isn't stated on the box either...
