key pad changed and now locked out help pls

I guess i changed my key pad default from the compressed version too the QWERTY while using my phone..My password for the phone 0495 worked fine on the key pad that shared multiple numbers and letters per. key but now the key pad is locked in QWERTY along with the phone.The phone says "one final attempt and all memory will be erased"i really don't want to lose all my contacts etc. but have not figured out what combination on the QWERTY corrosponds to 0495 on the other key pad if it does at all. I tried clicking the pad to numbers but number entries don't work. Any suggestions?

How were you entering numbers on the reduced keypad? Didn't you have to press the "!?123" key first?
