issues streaming 3g
Ok guys, I've run out of ideas and need the help of professionals *snicker*
My storm2 never used to have an issue with streaming music off internet radio (such as pandora) but now it continually buffers and pauses...making listening pretty much impossible. I used to be able to drive up and down california without missing a beat, but now I can't play it for 10 seconds without it pausing.
I only have issues streaming while using the 3g radio. When I enable wifi, it works SEAMLESSLY.
Here's what I've done so far to try and remedy the problem:
1. full device wipe/reinstall/data backup
This freed up some space, but still had identical problem.
2. Delete a lot of apps to try and free up more space
Device ran a tad bit smoother but same issues
3. Found out (while running a data backup) that I had 40,000+ text messages on my phone
Deleted them all and freed up around 40mb. Pandora ran slightly better, now only pausing less often
4. called verizon (multiple times) and have their tech support try to help me
Useless. Their answer: You have a blackberry. Have you seen the new droid or ibarf?
...Thanks guys! Way to help and stand behind your network.
So I'm out of ideas. I've wiped my entire phone, freed up as much space as possible, AND dealt with tech support. In my mind, it's an obvious network issue, yet it occurs to me everywhere I go, not just certain towers.
Also - I've ran a speed test with a cisco app, and my network speed is around 100-200kb/s. I'm pretty sure this is slow.
Verizon went on to blame the BIS servers.
P.s. it's not JUST the pandora app itself, my other internet radio apps do the same thing.
Any ideas?
