Default Internet and MMS problems with unlocked Storm 2

Hey, im kinda new here, but i have been looking for a couple days on crackberry on how to solve my mms and internet issue on my unlocked storm 2. I read a thread that told me to download crackutil and use it to load att service books onto my phone. I was successful in doing this. My phone now says sms and mms in the message center and i get an option to compose an mms message. But the internet and mms still arent working. When i go to compose an mms message i get this message "No MMS Service Record, message cannot be sent. You will only be able to Save Draft". And my internet browser says "This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again". I followed the other thread exactly, used crackutil to remove the network damen file, used BBDM to restore ATT service books by putting the ipd file in the backup file in the blackberry folder in my documents, and then using crackutil to reload the network damen file i removed earlier. I have a blackberry data plan with att. Can anyone help me please, i dont know what to do now. I cant use method 2 either, because there isnt a loader folder in the shared file, only an applications folder. So im stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I changed the settings in the TCP to the cingular stuff it has at the bottom of method one. Is that where i messed up perhaps? Since i have att.

go to Options>Advanced Options>Service Books and then click the menu button and select "Show Keyboard" It would be easier if you phone is in Landscape so do that now. And then hold down the "!?123" button to lock the keyboard in numerical/symbol mode and type "4?2?" You should see the message that "SB Legacy Restore Enabled"

And then try those instructions again
It fixed my issue but on t-mobile

Thank you, that did work, kind of. I figured something out though, i need help with this now. I removed the network damen file with crackutil and restored att service books. but before i added the network damen file back i tried to send an mms and it worked. But after i reloaded the network damen file it stopped working again. So i removed the file again so i can receive picture messages, but how do i fix the browser? Because without the network damen file i dont have a browser. Can you help me with this please?

Do you have a BIS set up with cingluar? and if so are you resending your email service books?

The browser is tied to the network damen file that i re-removed so i could send mms. So it doesnt show up unless i re-add it. But i dont know if i have the BIS set up, or if im resending my email service books, or if i have inputted the apn settings. How do i do those things?

on the guide posted on your second post at the end of step 3.
Either way if you are still having issues just do the following it resolved all the issues I had
upgrade your 9550 OS.
Download this

follow these instructions
How to Install or Upgrade to a New RIM BlackBerry Operating System (OS) with AppLoader | CrackBerry.com
when you are on the add or remove list
delete everything verizon related add email appworld and anything else that interests you...
After update is done retry these instructions
http://forums.crackberry.com/forum-f...m-95xx-106023/
now after step1 when the 9550 restarts and you receive the
"Uncaught Exception Error"
enable LEGACY RESTORE
Quote:
Options>Advanced Options>Service Books and then click the menu button and select "Show Keyboard" It would be easier if you phone is in Landscape so do that now. And then hold down the "!?123" button to lock the keyboard in numerical/symbol mode and type "4?2?" You should see the message that "SB Legacy Restore Enabled"
Once this is done continue with step 2 of the original guide.
don't forget the last part of step 3 which was what freethisberrydotcom was mentioning

Quote:
You can then disconnect the Storm from the PC. You should have a Fully Functional Browser now. Resend your email service books from AT&T to restore your email. Also you need TCP configurations in Options>Advanced Options>TCP.
APN should say wap.cingular
Username: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1
Now I'm able to send MMS, receive them and the option isn't disappearing anymore even after several battery pulls. Im also able to access and use my data plan through the browser without wifi or BIS/BES i purchased 2gb through tmobile just to test it.
hope this works for you good luck

First off, a little punctuation will make this a lot easier to read. I'm not doing a grammar analysis here, just suggesting that you make your longer posts into several paragraphs and such.

Now, about your loader problem. You are looking for LOADER.EXE, located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\

The rest of that guide seems to be pretty easy to follow. Good luck.
