How could it be!
Now,lets see,I was having problems downloading new os,because like I mentioned in previous tread I dont have memo pad/tasks in my berry(I figured out that technician in T-Mobile didnt check those two while upgrading the OS).Last 3or4 days I was trying to install new OS for my 9520 and there in advanced options check(memo pad/tasks) myself but all i got is message that there is no update availible for my device.just moments ago I installed blackberry protect and there popped a window saying that Protect couldnt be installed in device with BES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The thing is I dont have BES or BIS,I bought my phone from some guy cause he couldnt manage to get use to it and my QUESTION to all of you who understand how this works is:"Could It be that he had BES and I just continued using it(meaning that the device loaded BES on my sim card/Service books or whatever),cause i have unlimited data plan from T-Mobile myself and I didnt want them to charge me no additional fee and refused BIS,but this leaved me puzzled cause it makes no sense...
Please if someone understand whats going on leave a comment, tnx - 04-07-2012, 09:24 AM #2
BES services are linked via the device PIN.
IF the device is still connected to a BES service you would be getting someone's emails through to your device.
Having said that, your phone plan/account *should* need BES services enabled for that to work. But in Australia the mobile phone companies don't know much about that and sometimes forget to turn it off, or on, or something. So sometimes you get BES service when they think you don't have it.
Anyway, it *should* be obvious if your phone is still getting someone's email. - 04-07-2012, 10:58 AM

Aha,thats it then,i guess he didnt set up E-mail cause he didnt even know how to use the Storm(said it was too complicated to him)so I got it for a fair price. And i noticed that here in Croatia T-mobile techicians dont know what are they talking about,soo...
But,I dont have memopad/tasks icon and I couldn find it anywhere, and somehow i could not reinstall the new OS but the technician(a girl this time)that i talked to today said if I return my berry to the store they will reinstall the OS and add memopad/tasks folder, but I worry that then I couldnt have all this features for free(net, mail, maps, etc.,without using wi-fi) or does that have anything to do with the fact that I have unlimited data plan from T-mobile so thats how it suppose to be.I`m having some conserns cause i know other people with unlimited data, and they just cant seem to configure the berry to go online only with hotspot browser like i do...
So,what do you think???Last edited by wurkinjo; 04-07-2012 at 11:00 AM.

I got it.I downloaded newest Dutch carrier OS, used BBSAK,and then when i wipe cleaned my berry it said that i have no OS downloaded on my computer...I became so frustraded i wanted to throw it away and then opened a thread somewhere saying then after using BBSAK i needed to open DM,i did that and DM said i have two OS,checked the Dutch one and starting to insatall(checked memo, tasks, and some other stuff),uploaded OS and hit restore on my phone...
Everything was good, even my messages were on the phone, only some apps needed signin in again,so ihaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
