Default Hot when charging

I plugged my blackberry into my computer last night to charge it while I was still at work. It got very hot. I have stormstat installed and when I checked the temp it said 102. I then unplugged it and it eventually cooled back down. It is usually around 75 to 85. This doesn't happen when I charge it off the wall. Anyone else experience this?

Some info:
HP laptop, Windows Vista Business, cable that came with the blackberry.

Wow that is hot.. I don't have that happen at all. Mine stays at the same temperature when charging. I can't tell you what that is though lol

It is fine charging off the wall and I don't believe it happens when I charge it off my laptop. I just plugged my blackberry into my laptop to see if it will happen again.

I had that issue before I got my phone replaced, now Im good. That is not a good sign, is your battery door really hard to pull off by chance? Idk that might be related. Good luck lol, 102 eff

The door comes off without an issue. I've had it plugged in for a little bit and it is at 82.4, but it is much colder in my house then the office last night. I just unplugged it from the right side of the laptop, and now moving it to the left to see if that makes a difference.

I woke up one morning to my alarm on my off day so I cut the alarm off and shoved the phone under my pillow. When I woke up 3 hours later it was still plugged up and the temperature was 112 on Meterberry. And it still works. : )
