Get a 4th Storm or get a Storm2??
I have had nothing but problems with my Storm. First the microphone didn't work, then then no one could hear me when I talked with them, and now it is freezing constantly. I have done more battery pulls than i care to count and have reloaded the os 5 times. I even went back to 4.7 and it still freezes. so, my question...i've heard that if you receive 3 defective devices in one year (before the manufacturer warranty is up) you get to choose a device of equal or lesser value. Option one, do i settle for another storm and give it another chance? Option two, is the storm 2 available for this deal and if so should i upgrade?

I had 3 storms so I decided on storm 2 after going in to take a look at it. Havent looked back since. Build quality seems tons better and it is very responsive even compared to storm 1 with 5.0. You won't regret it.

With my S1 i had to clean the pin hole for the mic alot. as well as the top side area where i think they had a noise canceling mic(don't quote me on that)
After having my S2 for a couple days i can seriously say that while its not a major hardware upgrade, its leaps and bounds better than the S1 just on a memory basis.
Haven't had any call quality issues as of yet. - 11-01-2009, 01:27 AM

Ok, so it sounds like im springing for the storm2. I'll call customer service on Monday to request a new device. Will they offer me the upgrade option or will i have to ask for it?

I would ecommend getting the 4th Storm the second week in november the Storm 2 will be available as a multi-Fru for the Storm 1 and Tour. This is why's my Crizon agent told me and he has been dead on in the past regarding things like this.

Do you know when you're eligible for upgrade? I would find out either online or by calling CS *611. You might be eligible for the early upgrade option already. If you have an Any 2 Year Upgrade as well they should apply that discount as well. But if your NE2 is a few months out you might be able to get them to apply the discount early if you ask nicely and get a good cs rep, lol. The early upgrade discount I believe is $100 and the NE2 is $50 or $100 if you were grandfathered in before a certain date (cant remember the date).

Honestly
I'd recommend getting it only if nothing has to come out your pocket. Other than that, this phone didn't make huge leaps such as the OG iphone to the 3G made, don't get me wrong I loved Blackberry but I feel like there is more that could've been done.
