I placed my order for 2.80 it is worth trying lol. I'm running my s2 nekkid as of recently.....so far so good.

Kind of a pain. No matter how long and maticulous you are, they never really fit right. And they won't protect from a drop, only from day to day bumps. And they look pretty crappy when they get bumped around anyway.

Just better to get a good case ala Otterbox.

I've heard a lot about these Otterbox things... whats so special about them? Are they really worth getting?

otterbox is the way to go. I've dropped my phone numerous times during foot pursuits at work, and still not a scratch on my phone. Even on pavement. Its been dropped, stepped on, kicked, still ticking and no blemishes. I have the defender series.

Totally agree that otterboxes are the best protection around but the downside is the size.

i guess it's there's good and bad with everything.
screen guard is no added bulk but won't protect from a drop/fall.
otterboxes are awesome but bulky.

They should just make a G Zone BB! LOL

I currently have a ZAGG cover on mine, similar to this and love it. They are a pain to put on. Best advice, take your time...

$2.85, can't skip that deal right there. Even if it's no good, it wouldn't hurt to bundle it with my Storm2 when I sell it to get a Storm3.

For those with Otterboxes on their S2, how much thickness does it add to the phone compared to, say, the generic silicone case I have right now? I bought that from Verizon when I got the phone, and it does it's job (along with the disposable screen shields). I haven't dropped my phone but I'm interested in the added protection of the Otterbox. Thanks!

I tried the otterbox but got rid of it after a few days cause it almost doubled the thickness of the phone. I like to put my phones in my pocket and that just didn't cut it.

My phone also spends most of the day in my pocket at work. The thin profile of the Storm2 is one of the reasons I invested in it. So bulkiness is definitely a concern.

They don't look like they offer much protection. And one drop looks like a replacement will be needed. Not that I was going to give up my OtterBox anyway
