Question Envelope Icon with no new Messages

I have the envelope icon in the upper left of the screen, with a 1 next to it. Normally, that means an e-mail. None of my accounts have an e-mail in them that I haven't read and deleted.

How can I reset or remove this?

I have no voicemail, sms, mms, bbm, etc. that I haven't seen.

Thanks for your help.

I figured that is what someone would say. There is nothing in any other folder, so I guess a battery pull is what's next.

Thanks.

Did the battery pull, and it was still there. Seems this is user error as I had accidentally saved an email earlier in the day, and completely forgot to delete it.

Oh well.

check your call logs and turn on all logging then check your folders.. bring up the keyboard and press U while in the main messages windows. That will usually find the offending item.

I had this problem on my S1. I went through all my SMS and MMs folders, and found that WAY in the bottom, it marked one as unread..

or next time highlight the bar with today's date on it, hit the BB menu key and then "Mark prior opened"

that does the trick too...

Thanks for the great tips.

At least the battery pull gave me the gift of Bing. I hadn't gotten that yet. Don't know if I'll download, but it's there.

good that you figured it out, but I had a similar issue with emails. Seems the GMail app is not perfect yet. I will sometimes get a constant (1) email that never goes away until a battery pull.

Thanks.
Do you have the messages folder showing on your screen or only the mailboxes? When I bought my storm 2 it was hidden for some reason. When I set it to show I found the elusive missing message.

No, my messages folder is showing. It was just tucked away in saved messages. I seem to hit that when I mean to press mark unopened.

Thanks for the suggestions. Now I know what to look out for next time (and I am sure there will be a next time.)
