Default To Enable Java Script or Not....

I have been using Jonathan Fisher Storm Launchers on my S2 Custom Home Screen. I had also used them on my S1. In particular, I use them for Accuweather Active Radar and Drudge. Last week, Accuweather upped the ante by requiring Java Script to be enabled. When I do enable, the active radar display is as usual - awesome. But, whaaaah, Drudge's advertisement at the top seems to trigger a refresh to the next ad after about 1 minute. Whaaaah. Crap. What shall I do ? Doctor Neutron

OK, I have a wimp-out solution: leave JavaScript enabled, but launch to idrudgereport.com.

Please note: this discussion applies to the native BB Browser and not to just its launch via the Jonathan Fisher Storm launchers.

I say know, slows down the browser and phone both IMO. Unless you need real time radar weather?

I usually just look out the window, LOL.

My daughter called yesterday still in the Florida panhandle returning with her family from Disneyland towards Texas. Using only my S2 handheld, I was able to steer her thru some rain bands using the Accuweather Active Radar display.

I do agree with you about Java Script slowing things down: all downhill for the mobile user, all gravy for the website purveyors.

I am fishing for some miracle java code whereby one can dynamically change the Java Scripting from NOT ENABLED to ENABLED on a temporary basis, I guess.
